Our Story and Our Mission .
Established in 2019 by Navy Officer Ron Cimo, Dinontas works to give back to less fortunate veterans throughout the community. From being an active duty member himself, Ron's heart was moved with compassion when he saw the vast need for help for his fellow service members whose basic needs are struggling to be met. Ron wanted to incorporate the heart of the mission within its actions and its name. Dinontas is the Greek translation of the word "giving." We give back to veterans by gathering materials donated by the community such as food, clothing, and hygiene items that can be packed into bags. With the help of our amazing volunteers, these bags are packed and then handed out to local organizations that have direct contact with veterans in need, while we cover the shipping costs.
Our Goals and Our Success.
Dinontas's ultimate goal is to give back to and impact as many veterans as possible. Our partnership with organizations that have direct access to these men and women helps us to maximize our reach. Since the founding of Dinontas in 2019, our organization has given back to over 6,500 veterans, had over 1,300 volunteer hours, and distributed over 39,000 items! We are excited because we know this is just the beginning.
