Making sure veterans have basic needs like clothes, hygiene items

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. —

Not every veteran has the basics they need. But one Navy veteran in Daytona Beach is on a mission to change that.

At the Daytona Beach Veterans Medical Clinic, hundreds of veterans came together on Friday to shop for free clothing, toiletries and many things we assume proud members of the U.S. military would have.

But not all do.

And that's where the charity "Dinontas" comes in.

"When I was deployed, it just changed my life," said Ron Cino, the man behind the charity.

He says serving was not easy and changed his views

"It changed the way I view people... my family... and it had a significant impact on me and I felt if I was feeling this way, certainly there were other vets that felt that way," he said. "And what can I do to help?"
